Things change in a hurry. It was only a few years ago that I had to get used to sharing the house with my brother. I’ve not only gotten used to him, I’ve totally come to understand what a brother really is. Jack can be a bit much sometimes, always getting in trouble and sometimes embarrassing me, but all in all, he’s a great guy and I love having him around.
I never imagined I’d be writing for renegade, let alone running it! I’m kind of impressed in Jack’s level of trust in my ability. Although, I should be fair to myself too, I’ve proven that I have what it takes to contribute to renegadepress.com. My main goal it to get the word out on things that are happening to teens, to be true to what renegade is all about. I’ve had some really eye opening experiences in my life and I understand that knowledge is power and the more we talk about stuff, the more we can start to make it better. Renegade plays a big part in making things better for us.
So now Jack is leaving and I’m in charge of renegade. I also have a new step-mom. Joanne is living here and I get the basement all to myself. My best friend is back and has a long battle to overcome her addiction but I’m here for her. I have a boyfriend with a kid and I’m getting used to that too (she’s too cute to ignore!).
It’s been a huge few years and it shows no sign of slowing down. I’m going to do my best to make Jack proud. I know if I let renegade slip I’ll hear about it. It is the web after all, it’s not like he can’t keep an eye on me!
I’ll miss you big bro.
